Based in Eden Valley, MN, A Maze’n Farmyard launched in 2004 to provide family-based entertainment and education. Beyond offering various attractions to its visitors, A Maze’n Farmyard’s owners support a variety of local organizations and nonprofits, including Eden Valley Citizens for Progress (EVC4P).

EVC4P works to enhance the future of Eden Valley through fund-raising and marketing for various community projects. To achieve its goals, EVC4P operates four separate groups namely, Community Facilities, Economic Advancement, Library, and Marketing Eden Valley. It also hosts monthly meetings at the Eden Valley Community Center (EVCC) to discuss membership engagement and community service. This past June, EVC4P hosted a silent auction at the EVCC as part of Valley Daze 2019.

The silent auction took place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 22 and involved items donated by supporters of the organization and the community. Money raised from the silent auction is going toward further improvements at Friederichs Park, for which the city received a $150,000 matching grant from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in 2018. Construction at the park will also include the removal of parking areas to make space for a playground area, splash pad, RV campground, and a hockey rink, all of which would be connected by asphalt trails.
